This is the personal blog of Tim. Here, Tim writes on anything he has enough inspiration to finish a post on. That usually ends up being matters of science, pop culture, technology, religion, and philosophy.

This blog is around nine years old, which is over a third of Tim's current age. Back in 2003, it was called "Of Tim: Tim's life - or lack thereof", and it was as bad as you might expect the blog of a freshman in high school to be. Tim hopes that his writing is a little better, these days.

Tim welcomes any input that you, the dear reader, might have. Comments are very much appreciated, especially if you have a dissenting opinion. If you'd like to learn more about Tim, you might want to see his facebook or google+.

Wow, I haven't updated for exactly 4 days. Sorry! So I've been having the best week ever, and I managed to avoid a nearby crash in the middle of the day. My goal is to stay this way until Saturday! A stupid goal, but not an unworthy one. So for this week has been "straight out of Compton". Anyways, I just mowed my first lawn of the season today - which earns me 15 dollars. I'll do some random yardwork for about an hour / hour and 1/2 for 10 dollars on Friday or Saturday, and I'll actually have some money. On the subject of jobs, I still haven't recieved word from the Computer Room about the job. All I can do is wait, really.

I realized the other thing I wanted to get over the summer - some ThinkGeek t-shirts. (www.thinkgeek.com) They have some really cool stuff....in specific, I want the "-Binary- You Are Dumb" shirt, the "Caffeine Molecule" shirt, and the "All Your Base Are Belong To Us" shirt. Would be really sweet! A show of my geekhood...and stuff. Anyways...I think I might take another shower..I feel icky.

This has been an amazingly great Monday. Nothing particular happened...just went really smooth. Smooth like butta. Yo. So I've been thinking about this summer...and my possibilities seem endless, now that I can work for a real job. It would mean having to get a work permit (physical, anyone?) but even at minimum wage it beats mowing by at least twice as much if I worked the same hours, which I wouldn't be. Best case scenario, I'd get hired and earn minmum wage for working 6-8 hours a few days a week, helping repair computers. I have a strong feeling I won't get hired, but I really have nothing to lose. If nothing else, maybe they'd let me observe what they do and just be a servant-ish person. Something like that. But I have high hopes. Providing I get the money I have a list of stuff to apply it to.

»Halo Soundtrack ($20)
»Last Samurai Soundtrack ($20)
»Halo 2 (probably somewhere in September-October) ($50)
»Fable (probably in June - July) ($50)
»Eventually, a new computer. Probably not till next year, though. (I'm probably gonna spend $1200 on that, at least...)

I'm definately psyched. The experience at that place would be wonderful - but I'm 15, and 15 year olds have a hard time getting jobs. I'm still hoping, though!

After a rough/odd day yesterday, I'm feeling pretty good about stuff. Yesterday was pretty lame - woke up tired, had to go to church (at which Benjamin and Jesse were not) and ended up leaving earlier than normal because there was no high school class. Anyways, I got home at 11:30, and spent my entire day playing random flash games and listening to techno. Not all that exciting. However, I did eventually get all my homework done and stuff. Sort of. Didn't do that good old English reading, but that class is so incredibly boring, I think I'll just take the risk of having a pop quiz. Seriously - that woman doesn't know how to teach freshman. She normally teaches seniors, but a lack of teachers required her step in. Besides that - she overestimates our classes ability to understand stuff. Oh well. Win some, lose some.

Ooof. Pain haunts me. So I went over to Sam's house on Firday, at about 5:00 (PM), played Airsoft with Weilin and another dude (Mike Salle) till about 7. Ate pizza, went over to Weilin's house for the night. Went to sleep at 3:00 AM and Mike woke us all up at 8:00 AM, as well as Weilin's little sister screaming "NO!". Went to Sam's at 10:00 AM, played Airsoft till 12:00 (this time with Weilin's little brother Wayne, too), at which point we cleaned Sam's yard for an hour. We ate more pizza and played more Airsoft till about 5:00 PM. *twitch* Too much airsoft. Still fun though.

Important!

I now have a new email address - my yahoo one is becoming spammed due to signing up for stuff. Blogger offered me an infinitely better one (1 gig of storage, no ads, mail searching) for being an active user. Sweet deal!

NEW ADDRESS: Salandarin@gmail.com

I'll still check the yahoo one, but it is now my spammage account.

Yesterday really sucked, even though I had a lunch, and a study hall, AND it was a Thursday. *sigh* Just not fun. It doesn't really help that I'm asked to start playing a stressful game of Halo (yes, stressful) immediately when I get home.

I managed to get a fair amount of sleep (7, maybe 7 1/2 hours) and I'm feeling pretty pleasant right now. I spent most of last night doing absolutely nothing, too. I'm going over to Sam's house at about 5 or 6, then I spend the night, and get to help them clean their house. :-D It's kinda weird, I haven't been over there in MONTHS, although I was going over there pretty consistantly before Thanksgiving. Should be fun. Now to go read the comics...

I have had the weirdest day ever. And it rocks. So today's a wednesday, right? I forgot to set my alarm for 30 minutes early, so i could catch the bus - I missed it and so I stayed home til 8:45 and slept. (my dad can't take me on Wednesdays, he has a meeting). So my dad got me to school at about 8:50, and dropped me off at the back. Now, dealing with the moronic security officials known as the hall moniters, the back doors were locked. I banged on the doors fr 5 minutes (with a random dude) and finaly got in. Walked all the way to attendance, where which the normal secretary for being late was not there. I kinda waited around for 2 or 3 minutes, and another secretary gave me an illegal tardy pass, despite the fact I had an excuse from my dad. Anyways, I went to my second period class (it was around that time) and she told me to go to my homeroom. I did that (keep in mind how many times I'm walking around the school) and my homeroom teacher gave me my schedule for the day. Because it's career day, I've missed the first career day class, and I have to go to my second one now, which is already half done. I got to the assigned room, and it's empty. The teacher in the room says the instructer never showed up, so I left and went to a programming class, which was actually all about hackers. I didn't learn anything new, that's for sure. After that, I went to my first period class. But wait! First period is actually at the END of the day! So I go straight to my second period class. So awesome! I'm now in my first period class. This is so cool. So disorganized. So awesome.

What a day.

I've had a really interesting day...yet again I managed to not get any sleep. Only four hours of it, at least. I'm just not sleeping well this week. I was really concerned with a little personal situation I've been mulling over, but after talking with a friend (from college) things don't seem so bad, or as if they weren't really bad in the first place....I dunno, it's weird. I'm feeling a lot better now, I think. Anyways, I went to church today (half asleep), and then danced in the thunderstorm (I love thunderstorms...and tornados...and thunder...and wind...), after which I went to Daniel's and played some 2v2 Halo over XBoxConnect against Benjamin and Nolan. We creamed em'....lots of fun anyways. I still have a large chunk of homework left, which is bothering me to no end. I'm trying to think out what to do for the next weekend....I don't normally plan weekends, but I feel like I should, for some reason. In any case, I need to get to that homework. Finishing before midnight is a desirable thing.

EDIT: I should really give Jonathan a call...I need some of his big brotherly advice...

ANOTHER EDIT: My blogs section contains only those blogs which have been updated in the past 40 days. If they're inactive for more than that, I remove them. Also, the order in which they're in is irrelevant, I add them as I remember or they become inactive/active.

Woke up at 2:00 today, and haven't really done all that much besides eat and play W3. Oh well...in case you haven't noticed, my counter reached a nifty 1000 in the past week. Another note - blogger has been acting funky lately. If the page comes up in jumbled code, just refresh a time or two, it should fix itself. It's blogger's fault, not mine. At the moment I'm about to start looking for my next background...I can't really keep this one for more than a month....and considering how long it took to find, I should probably start early. :-(

I'm having a boring day...I wish I had woken up earlier, and gotten out before it clouded up. A waste of a weekend, really. Lack of sun always depresses me. Not to mention my parents are being obsessive compulsive in small fits, really just a pain in the neck. I have this nagging feeling they've found it again...and it bothers me to no end.

EDIT: A moment ago I was also slightly concerned with what other things I'd take pictures of later on...I just realized, I can take pictures of games I get, and CD's and books and stuff....doesn't really cheer me up but it's nice to know I can communicate whatever I'm doing better.

Well, I've had a lot of fun with this pictures thing...a few people I don't know from here, that I've never met got to see my picture, and I'm sure you can all feel much more informed with true, live, pictures to look at. Unfortunately, the camera sucks up batteries at the rate of 4 per 4 hours of running time, so I won't be going crazy like today...but I don't think I expect to.

Let's have a w007 to DIGITAL CAMERAS! My dad just ordered one, I'm installing the software now! I'll have some pictures up of my airsoft guns, my computer, and my house and stuff ASAP. I don't think any of my friends from school have actually seen my house....well...the people on my bus have seen the outside...but that's beside the point. It may take a while to get the hosting done, I doubt I'll have pictures up before the end of the weekend, but we can hope!

I've done a bunch of tweaking in the template over the past few days, deleting unnecessary stuff, etc. In a nifty (yes, nifty) bulleted list, here's what I've done.

»Centered the text alignment for the title, date, and byline.
»Added border to sidebar.
»Moved header to left side, raised main column.
»Changed description, shortened blog title.
»Added nifty and actual working background.
»Removed unnecessary code from the original template.

Took me long enough...especially since Internet Explorer is stupid, and couldn't read my blog after I'd done two days worth of poking. It's all good now. It doesn't look QUITE as good in Internet Explorer as it does in Firebird, but it's close enough. As for things people actually care about - I should be back at school tomorrow. Spent most of today doing catch-up homework and watching more news. Enjoy my completely random links.

That's odd. I won't bother trying to figure out what blogger was doing..and..I'll..just..edit this repost and make it seem like it's a normal one. Confused? Too bad. So I went to school today - and regretted it. I felt like I had just woken up the entire day. Not so much right now, since I've had a 2 1/2 hour nap. I went in at the end of my lunch period (4th) and they said I had a low temperature. It actually kinda makes sense when I think about it. Since I've been sick I've been sleeping with a gigantic extra cover blanket thingy, it keeps me really warm. Normally I'd be burning up, so I guess I know I should be keeping warm now. I've basically been feeling really weak all day. Not tired, as if I didn't have enough sleep (I got a full 8 hours last night), just like I didn't get any energy. I hope I'll get better soon. It was nice to see people again, since It's been like a week and 1/2 since I've seen anyone. I was relieved to also find I didn't have all that much homework left to do. Much stress has been lifted off my back. Now to go find some food...again...

I think I may have set a record for how long I've ever slept. 15 hours, 11:00 PM to 2 PM today. I woke up feeling a littel better than yesterday, and right now I'm feeling not too shabby. I'll probably go to school tomorrow. I'm kinda tired of staying home, watching the news until someone logs online to talk to. Watching the news gets pretty boring, too. The same stuff kinda gets mulled over and over until you're brainwashed. Today's wasn't so bad, watching the 9/11 comittee review people. It's also kind of frustrating, listening to how the FBI and CIA get stuck in the beurocracy of politics when they shouldn't be. It reminds me of how I used to bother arguing with some of my friends about Bush as a president. It really bugs me looking at these people who claim to be so open-minded, yet tell me "you're stupid. you like President Bush" or "all republicans are stupid" As if Gore, or, *snort* Nader would have done a better job. I won't rant about my political views here, not worth your time, or mine.

In other news...*ahem* I still have to write this research report...it's not hard, jsut time consuming. I have 75% of it done, but the stupid works cited and in-text citations take FOREVER. You forgot what page the info was on? You have to go look it up. I'll have it done soon, I just have to get down to work some time soon. As in, tonight. I've also got that German thing to do, but that I'll reserve for doing as school. Peace.

Well I woke up today thinking "I feel like crap. And I have a feeling I'll feel MORE like crap later in the day." So I'm home sick, coughing and sneezing a lot. I spent most of my day watching the news, generally being bored and not doing anything. I stepped outside and shot a few crows and squirrels off of our bird feeder, which was more than amusing. Anyways, I somehow doubt I'll be in school tomorrow, but you never know. Sitting around doing nothing wouldn't be so bad if it were sunny outside...then I'd have a reson to sit outside and shoot stuff.

Yesterday was nice, I wasn't feeling too bad and I basically just talked to people on IM all day. Daniel came over for a few hours and we put silcone on all my guns and stuff, played Ninja Gaiden and talked. I sent him home with realy cold shoes (i put them in my freezer). Lots of fun.

I'm gonna try and stop doing this whole "update in organized portions" thing, and just post. Yay. Celebrate! I've developed a bug, I'm coughing and sneezing to boot, and I've been downing the throat-stuff every 4 hours. I'm now actually feeling a bit tired and weak-ish, if I'm much worse than this I probably won't go to church tomorrow. Hopefully I'll be able to do some homework before I fall asleep. Oogh, a headache just set in. Icky. Anyways, I've got a chapter of my Biology to take notes on, and some Math...I'll delay English for Monday night, or if I'm feeling good, Sunday night. I gotta figure out what this German project is - and fast. Supposedly it's easy, but I dunno, I can always hope. I better log off before someone else wants to talk on IM.

It's Friday. Spring Break is technically gone. Oh well.

The new gun arrived, and it's pretty darn cool. Weighs as much as my MP5 (with magazine and BB's in it), and quite possibly is more powerful. Obviously wont be as accurate, but it definately owns the lame USP. I'm pretty pleased, to say that much.

I had Daniel, Jesse, Benjamin and Nolan over last night, that was lots of fun. We played Halo, mostly, watched RvB, all good fun. Jesse didn't actually spend the night, but was around the majority of the time. Just vacuumed and aired out my room, so it's all back to normal now!

I hope the background pleases y'all. Took me about a dozen sepereate image searches to find it. It's big enough, but tell me if it goes off your screen or something.

I've been developing a sore throat, which has now stepped up to coughing and sneezing. I haven't gotten sick this year *ahem* yet, and I suppose the timing is good - right when school is starting back up.

This is more of an update than a post, but whatever, beggars can't be choosers. :-P

Holy crap. It's Tuesday. My break. My prescious break. Where have you gone?

Tim's been having a very strange day. I'm trying to get my problems sorted before tomorrow, an ortho appointment awaits me. I really don't think I'm gonna allow myself to talk about what's on my mind, but there's just been a lot of stuff going on with Gwen and I. It's been really frustrating, the whole situation, and it's never gonna be resolved. That's the desperation I feel right now. I can't see a single way this would ever work out happily. Yeah, it's kind of strange saying that when only a few of you actually understand what the issue is, but you'll live, I'm certain.

In the midst of my distress...absolutely nothing has happened. Well, sort of. The LAN party was awesome, we played Sven Co-op and Halo and it was great fun all around. Went to Jesse's house on Sunday. We attempted to play Airsoft, but high winds and 20 degree weather wouldn't permit. So we just shot Jesse 5 or 6 times. That was fun. Then there was Scouts on Monday. All good.

Today consisted of nothing, woke up, got on the computer, etc.. I've spent the last half of my day contemplating this whole thing...*sigh*. God has a plan, I guess.

The accessories I ordered from Airsoft Atlanta arrive tomorrow. The Desert Eagle and mag arrive Friday. Assuming the gun actually arrives on time, then I'll have an airsoft party Friday or Saturday. I'll probably invite Jesse, Benjamin and Nolan over for the night Thursday as my bday 'party'. Haven't actually asked yet, but that's in order.

Bedtime has come. Hopefully ortho won't be too bad.

EDIT: I keep forgetting to note: the play last Wednesday was AWESOME. The acting and singing was amazing, though the stage crew...*cough, cough* sucked.

Can Tim make it through the day? We shall see...

Been waiting for Friday for a long time. Seems like a really long week, because it has been. Managed to do nothing yesterday, apparantly a friend is having a LAN party on Saturday, that should be fun.

I ordered another gun! The KWC Desert Eagle .50AE Dual Tone, with a magazine (90.98 with shipping). I also got a Right Thigh Holster, a Metal Pistol Case, and another MP5 Magazine (57.40 with shipping). Using the money from a returned mp3 player, and 40 bucks from me, I should have enough. OH! I haven't posted what I got for mah bday.

Previous guns and stuff were an early present, so the list is low.

New watch (old one broke)
Newsboys Hymn CD (...)
Peeps (Easter time...)
MP3 player (holds 30 songs....it's back at Best Buy now...contributing to the D.E)
Sewing Kit (for Boy Scouts, I guess....only cost 3.99, so not really a big deal..hehe)

Christopher sent me a 100 dollar Amazon gift card, and my gma/gpa sent me 10 dollars. So it turned out ok, present-wise.

This new watch hurts to wear....it's cool looking, but it hurts my wrist. :-/

Anyways...I just finished a book report, time to read the comics.
